Special Session on Software Management (SM) Call for papersResearch in Software Management has far boundaries. The researchers are expected to establish unique connections among diverse disciplines to find resolutions for the challenges faced by the managers of Software Systems. The interdisciplinary nature of the solution approaches requires utilization of different research methods both quantitative and qualitative during the studies. The application of the newly developed measures, tools and methods requires adaptation mechanism for acquisition, development, maintenance and operation of software systems. This year we would specifically like to focus on the management in small and medium sized software organizations. Small companies are the majority and produce critical products. Pressures from the acquirers, widening awareness on management research and the need to grow stimulate the need to establish new management tools for small and medium sized software organizations. In particular, we encourage submissions demonstrating the potential of new approaches by means of empirical studies in software SMEs. Software Management track is organized as part of EUROMICRO SEAA for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss new ideas, innovations, trends, and experiences in diverse boundaries. The topics of interest includes but not limited to the following knowledge areas:
Submission of papers for publication with IEEE/CS:Submission of papers for publication with IEEE/CS: This session is an integral part of the 35th EUROMICRO Conference on Software Engineering and Advanced Applications (SEAA) 2009. Accepted regular papers will be included in the proceedings that will be published by the IEEE/CS. Extended versions of selected papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Journal of Systems Architecture (Elsevier). The accepted paper should follow two column IEEE conference format. To get format description and templates please follow the IEEE link. Papers should not exceed 8 pages (in IEEE/CS proceedings format; 10pt, single-space, double-column) or 6000 words and include an abstract of up to 150 words. Papers must not have been previously published or submitted elsewhere. If accepted, the paper must be personally presented at the EUROMICRO SEAA 2009 Conference by the author or one of the co-authors. The presenting author(s) must pre-register (full fee) for EUROMICRO SEAA 2009 before the due date of the Camera-ready paper.
