Track on SoftwareProcess and Product Improvements (SPPI) The size, complexity, and criticality of software-intensive systems require innovative and economic approaches to software development and evolution. In today's competitive world software quality is a key to success and stability. Software process and product improvement aims at significantly increasing both the quality of systems and the productivity of software development. The SPPI conference track will bring together researchers and practitioners to share SPPI innovations and experiences. Suggested topics of interest include, but are not restricted to:
In particular, we encourage submissions demonstrating the potential of SPPI approaches through case studies, experiments, and quantitative data. This track is an integral part of the 35nd EUROMICRO Conference on Software Engineering and Advanced Applications (SEAA) 2009. The conference proceedings will be published by the IEEE Computer Society. Submission of papersProspective authors are encouraged to submit a PDF version of their paper using the conference submission system. Papers must not exceed 8 pages in IEEE/CS proceedings format (8.5" x 11", two-column format) and include an abstract of up to 150 words. Papers must not have been previously published or submitted elsewhere. If accepted, the paper must be personally presented at the EUROMICRO 2009 Conference by an author. At least one author must pre-register for the conference before the due date of the camera-ready paper. Special SessionsThere will be a special session on open-source software development lead by Tommi Mikkonen and a special session on software management lead by Onur Demirors. Both special sessions are strongly related to the SPPI track. Important dates
